Whit’s Friday Faves
It’s Friday, sooo here is my favorite thing of the week! This week, my favorite thing is for the children. Since becoming a mom, I have had to learn the importance of keeping my toddlers protected from the harmful rays of the sun. We love to go outside and play, therefore, sun protection is always on my mind as a momma. These sun hats came highly recommended by our sweet friends. I have to say, they are simply the best hats for busy, active, outdoorsy toddlers! [Get outside with your toddlers! Check out this post for 10 outdoor activities you can do with your kids.]
Today’s Fave is for the kiddos. The Sunday Afternoons kids play hat. And you know I love it because it’s simple, easy, and functional!
Each one of my boys has one of these hats. They are adjustable, they grow with my kids, and most importantly, they offer the best sun protection for your littles! We never leave the house on an outdoor adventure without these hats. Read on for 3 specific reasons why I picked today’s Friday Fave. This post contains affiliate links.
Why a Friday Fave?
Every parent should have at least one or multiple Sunday Afternoons sun hats for their little ones. Here are 3 great reasons why.
#1 FULL FACE AND NECK COVERAGE:
The sun protection is UPF 50+ for the material used to make the hat. It covers the toddler’s head, face, and neck. Being good parents, we apply sunscreen to our children [most times]. But it’s definitely nice to know that if I don’t reapply constantly or forget to bring sunscreen, my boys are still protected from the sun by their hats.
#2 NECK PROTECTION:
OH YES, this hat has a neck piece. It has a long piece of material that shields their neck from the sun. CRUCIAL! How many times has your child gotten a sunburn on the back of their neck or ears? This hat keeps that from happening!
Full disclosure- I may have put on my kid’s hat on more than one occasion. There have been times when my husband or I have had to wear these sun hats. No problem, THEY ADJUST! Your kiddos can wear this hat from the time they are 6 months [maybe earlier] to the time they are in high school or beyond.
Ya’ll, our kiddos need protection from the sun. If you are like me, it’s sometimes difficult to find the sunscreen, remember the sunscreen, take the time to put on the sunscreen. I think every parent should have a back-up. This sun hat is the best alternative, hands down! Have your kids tried it?!
Happy adventuring friends!
